About the event
The Friends of the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit, also known as the Kettle Moraine Natural History Association, will hold its annual meeting at 10AM on Saturday March 9, 2024 at the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Southern Unit Headquarters. The program is open to all members and guests.
A short business meeting will follow the educational presentation. We will vote on next years Board of Directors and report on our financial situation, our accomplishments, and our future plans.
The educational presentation will be presented by Laura Holder, Executive Director of Conservation Dogs Collective, Inc. They work alongside dogs, leveraging the power of scent detection to improve our planet's health. Together, they help protect endangered species, combat invasive species, locate elusive species, and build community.
Refreshments will be served.

Conservation Dogs Collective, Inc.
Driven by her boundless curiosity about how dogs think, learn and detect scent, Laura has been nose-deep in the professional fields of scent-detection, nose work and dog training since 2009. Her lifelong fascination with canines, especially their unique ability to work alongside humans, inspires her every day in her work. Her passion lies in leading and deploying the Finder-Keeper teams of Conservation Dogs Collective to support clients in their critical conservation efforts, and especially loves working alongside her two Finders, Ernie and Betty White.
